RIO GRANDE VALLEY - More than six tons of marijuana have been seized since Monday totaling at a value of $9.6 million dollars.

The largest seizure happened on Friday near Escobares when Border Patrol agents spotted a group of individuals carrying large bundles near the Rio Grande river. The group did spot the agents and ran leaving nearly 900 bundles of marijuana behind.
