Border agents discharge their weapons.

Federal authorities are investigating an incident where Border Patrol agents were forced to shoot their weapons.
Border Patrol officials say that agents were patrolling the Rio Grande river on boat when several people, on the Mexican side, started throwing rocks and bottles at the agents. Agents responded to the incident by shooting their weapons to stop the individuals from continuing their assault of the agents. The incident is under investigation and no one was reported injured.
