18-month old killed when shelves fall on top of him.

An 18-month-old Woonsocket, Rhode Island boy was killed Monday when a wooden bookshelf fell on him.

Police said it happened at about 1:30 p.m.

Investigators said the bookshelf fell on the boy's chest as he was attempting to climb it.

Police said the boy was transported to Landmark Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
