HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department is investigating the skeletal remains of a body found north of Mile 10 and a half on Bentsen Palm Road in Mission.
Sheriff Lupe Trevino believes the case is a homicide after the bones were discovered to be bound at the feet with an orange extension cord. Investigators say that wild animals most likely ate the remains of the victim leaving only the bones to found.
