AUSTIN — Although classes have been canceled for the remainder of the day, the bomb threat that forced the evacuation of all buildings on the UT Austin campus earlier today has been resolved with no incidents, and students, faculty and staff are now free to re-enter campus buildings. CNN quotes university sources as saying a telephoned "general bomb threat" was received this morning from a man claiming to represent Al Qaeda. The man reportedly said a number of bombs had been planted on campus and that they would be detonated at 10 AM Central time. Authorities found no bombs or other weapons on campus. UT Austin has an enrollment of over 51,000 students and officials say that at any one time there are as many as 70,000 people on campus.
