Boeing Test Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Laredo
A test flight of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, that was on it's way to Harlingen International Airport, had to make an emergency landing.
The new airplane, with a test crew of 30 people, had to make an emergency landing on Tuesday afternoon in Laredo after the crew reported smoke in the cabin. The Dreamliner landed safely at Laredo International Airport, no one was injured, and everyone on board was evacuated using the plane's slides. The Dreamliner is Boeing's next generation passenger jet touted as a highly fuel efficient aircraft made largely with composite materials.
