17-Year old Aaron Juan Garcia from Mission has been missing for approximately two months, however over the weekend a body was discovered at a Mission canal. Police believe it could be identified as Garcia's body.  The United Irrigation District drained part of the canal near FM Road 495 and Los Ebanos Road after Mission Police decided to search for him there.  The canal belongs to the United Irrigation District, and it there where their workers made the discovery.

Police say that identifying marks, including tattoos and marks of surgery point to the direction that it was Garcia.

Garcia's family tells police he had been highly intoxicated while heading to a friends house, where he was living, but Garcia never made it.  Garcia's family tells police that he didn't know how to swim and of course mix that in with drinking only makes for a dangerous situation.

An autopsy is still being performed to confirm it is Garcia's body, meanwhile police continue to remind everyone about the dangers of drinking especially near unsafe areas like canals.
