The bodies of a Navy veteran and his girlfriend were discovered Sunday inside a North Texas home in an apparent murder suicide.

Officers in Rowlett said 35 year-old Brandon McClain's mother went to check on her son after he missed his son's baseball game Saturday.

When he didn't answer the door, she walked to the back of the house and saw the body of Amanda Todhunter, 30, on the kitchen floor. She immediately called police who alter found McClain's body near his girlfriend's in the kitchen.

Both the man and woman suffered gunshot wounds to the head. Police said this isn't the first time they have been called to the home.

Lt. David Nabors, Rowlett Police, "We've had two previous calls over here...one of them was an assault case back in February."

Shirley Ross, Neighbor, "It's never happened before - so it's the first - it's kinda scary but then you know that it's all within so."

James McFadden, Neighbor, "I've been here my whole life - pretty quiet, pretty friendly, never any problems."

Police said there were no signs of a break-in and that they aren't searching for anyone in connection with the crime.
