Saint Francis was famous for his love of animals and nature. Today, many churches across the country and the Valley commemorate his life by the blessing of animals.

Several churches in the Diocese of Brownsville will participate.  The faithful bring their dogs, cats, fish, birds and other animals to the church grounds for prayers and a special blessing.
