MCALLEN - It's considered one of the best days to shop for bargains, we are talking about Black Friday. Since Tuesday here in the valley shoppers are already camping out at local retailers.
For retailers it's about big bucks. In 2011 it was a record Black Friday weekend, with spending of more than $54-billion in the U.S.
Here locally some of the retailers are also looking to reap the benefits. Anita De Hoyos is one of the managers at the Target on Nolana in McAllen she says, it's a busy day especially with all the shoppers searching for all the bargains.
Some of the hot items and door-buster deals this year include the Vizio 60' LED Smart TV on sale at Walmart for $688, about $300 less than you buy it anywhere else and the Xbox 360 with Kinect for $199 at Target.
