B.I.S.D. to Work with Bus Drivers Request with Working Hours
BROWNSVILLE — Brownsville I.S.D. bus drivers could soon see some results from their protest last week on working less hours.
District officials report that transportation employees are being reviewed for additional compensation for the upcoming school budget year. The decision for review came after last week's budget committee meeting. In a statement released by Superintendent Dr. Carl Montoya, the district will continue to keep the lines of communication open. Transportation employees are seeking an increase from 32 work hours to a 40 hour work week.
