B.I.S.D. Board Meets to Discuss State Budget Cuts

With the state budget shortfall, that could be as much as $20 billion over the next two years, school districts are concerned , Matt Fernandez has more.

The B.I.S.D. board of trustees held a special meeting to talk about the district's finances for the future. Currently this year B.I.S.D. is functioning with a $550 million dollar budget and the district says they will be working on several areas to balance their budget.

Catlina Presas Garcia, President of the Board, say they will have several budget workshops scheduled in the next couple of weeks and they will work hard on the budget prior to adopting it in the next five to six months.
