Tuesday bees attacked people in Brownsville and Harlingen.

At the Valley International Country Club a total of 10 people stung and a couple sent to the hospital. The bee attack all started when an exterminator was called to a home near the Country Club.

The exterminator was trying to remove a nest outside the home and got stung by one of the bees. He then ran into the country club with bees following him.

On his way into the building he ran through the parking lot where Judy Ortega was.

"I was coming to golf, got out of the car, and bees attacked us."

Ortega is a winter Texan from Minnesota.

"They got caught in my head and hair and ran inside and had to put water all over our head.

This winter Texan was also in the parking lot when the bees attacked.

"I got stung maybe about 8 or 10 times even inside my hair, they were still in there."

The Brownsville Fire Department was called the scene to treat the victims of the stings, they also came under attack. Three of them became sting victims. The Fire Department has taped off the area the bee's came from in an attempt to keep people from disturbing them, again. The Brownsville Fire Department tells us the two people sent to hospital with stings are in stable condition.
