College professor fired after his image is used on a beer can, without his knowledge or permission. Raymond Owens reports.

(WCBD) A former Charleston Southern University Associate Professor who was fired Friday is speaking out.

Paul Roof says he was unfairly fired because of how his photograph was used.

"It's been an emotional roller-coaster," he says.

Roof is was an associate professor of sociology at Charleston Southern University. The school is a Christian University, and affiliated with the South Carolina Baptist convention.

He says he was fired after his image was used on a beer can manufactured by Holy City Brewing.

"My image and likeness, which I do not own, that I've never received compensation for and it was a surprise for me that it was put on a beer can by Holy City Brewing," he explains.
