The Batmobile officially arrives at the McAllen International CarFest today at 1:30pm at the McAllen Convention Center.

The Batmobile is one of the attractions at this years event. This is a replica of the original Batmobile that recently sold for over $4 million. It’s a 1965 Pontiac Bonneville and is the work of owners Randy Roden and Mel Taylor, Batman enthusiast from McAlester, Oklahoma. This Batmobile has won several awards including one from the National Hot Rod Association. It has a 389 horsepower block engine, a turbo transmission and is street legal.

CarFest will also feature over 300 vehicles on display in 10 different categories, including Classics, Antiques, Muscle, Hot Rods & more. There will also be miniature Car Drag Racing, Kids Model Car Build-off, Road Skill Test Track, Swap Meet, Live Entertainment and lots of food and beverage.
