Florida teen severely injured when fish he's hooked leaps into boat and severs an artery in his arm. Travell Eiland reports.

(WESH) A teenage boy from Port Orange, Florida received more than 20 staples and 17 stitches in his arm after a barracuda jumped into his father's boat and started thrashing.

Parker King, 13, said he was fishing with his dad for red snapper when they spotted the 5-foot-long barracuda, which he estimates was 70 pounds.

They tried to catch the fish, but it jumped into the boat, striking Parker and ripping his arm wide open.

"Soon as he set the hook, it went around the boat and flew up. All I heard was, 'Watch out, and I put my hands over my head, and that's when he got me right under there. I looked at my dad with big old eyes and said, 'Dad, I am going to die," he said.
