Barn Fire Kills Dozens of Horses
Dramatic home video shows rescuers freeing horses from flames.
More than two dozen horses are dead after a fire at a race track in West Virginia's eastern panhandle.
27 horses were killed when fire erupted at the Charles Town Races and Slots facility.
Witnesses estimate the flames shot as high as 50 feet in the air.
Damage to the barns is valued at over one million dollars, however, the value of the horses has not been calculated.
Investigators are still trying to determine what started the fire.
At least one witness said a transformer fire on a utility pole started the blaze.
Another 26 horses were freed before the fire fully engulfed the barn.
