A Georgia teen is charged with a felony for allegedly taking $25,000 that was mistakenly deposited in his bank account. Jon Shirek reports.

(WXIA) An 18-year-old Georgia man turned himself in Friday after being charged with stealing thousands that was mistakenly deposited into his bank account.

According to a release from the Madison County Sheriff, Steven Fields withdrew or made purchases totaling nearly $25,000 after a bank teller mistakenly deposited $31,000 into his account.

The money was actually for an account of another man with the same name.

Fields made several ATM withdrawals and made purchases at a car dealer, big box retailer, grocery store and fast food restaurant before the bank realized the error.
