Shoplifting father flees without 3-month-old when confronted by store manager.

A shoplifting suspect is facing more trouble after he is accused of leaving a baby behind during his escape.

The manager of the Market Basket in Somersworth, New Hampshire said the suspect is accused of stealing about $20 worth of goods.

When he was confronted outside of the store the suspect pushed away a stroller with the baby inside and took off running.

Store managers took the baby inside and called police.

21-year-old Matthew Sordiff was arrested within hours of the incident.

Police said the baby is now with other family members.

Sordiff is held on $500 bail, although police said more charges could be filed.
