A final autopsy report is released, in a police involved shooting, which happened five months ago.
40-year old, Diego Rivas-Soto was shot, under the bridge at the US 77/83 interchange near the Tyler exit, back in Early January.
Harlingen Police say, one of their officers shot at Soto after he lunged at the cop with a knife.
Now, that the autopsy report is out, Soto's family attorney is demanding more answers from the Harlingen Police Department.
Former Willacy County District Attorney, Juan Guerra says he filed a pre-petition discovery to get more facts about what really happened that night.
Guerra says, after more questions are answered, he'll know whether to file a petition.
The final autopsy reveals that Soto, a Mexican citizen, was fatally shot thru the chest and abdomen.
But Guerra says, after reading the report, it shows that Soto was shot in the back.
The Texas Attorney General sent a letter out, saying at this time, the police do not need to give out any more details on the case because it's an on-going investigation.
Soto was a father of five kids.
His wife hired Guerra to handle the case.
Harlingen Police say, they'll continue to investigate the shooting.
