Arbabsiar Pleads Not Guilty to Assassination Plot
NEW YORK CITY - Manssor Arbabsiar, the man accused of plotting to assassinate the Saudi Arabian Ambassador, pleaded not guilty in a five count indictment in a New York City courtroom.
According to authorities, Arbabsiar has admitted to his role in a $1.5 million dollar plot to kill the Saudi Ambassador. He was captured by an undercover agent, who he attempted to hire, as a hitman for the Mexican drug cartel. The United States government has alleged that the Iranian government was somehow involved in the plot and Iranian officials have denied those allegations.
