The Access Brownsville app and the city's website are proving to be useful tools for the Public Works Department.

Director Santana Torres says that the citizens have been utilizing the city's call help number to report potholes in Brownsville.

In January, over 120 calls came in for potholes, and now they average around 40 every month.

Each call creates a work order along with the location where workers can respond.

Santana Torres, Public Works Director, "That work order is generated, give to our workers before they go out to the field and they address the issue as the work orders come in. We actually have been cutting it down to about 3 days turnover on a work order."

Director Torres says that the calls really help identify the areas that need more attention and he encourages all citizens to report potholes.
