The Anzalduas bridge will be switching to wireless cameras after rodents and vandals disabled several cameras. McAllen leaders say five of the six cameras on top of the bridge were disabled and that a fiber optic line was cut. The new system will cost $25,000 dollars and Bridge Superintendent Rigo Villarreal says it's well worth the money, "In the long run its going to save you money, every time you have a rodent or vandal it cost $700, $500, $900 dollars and you have to do it every time it happens with this, its going to resolve that and in the long run will save money."
