Attending a Christmas concert while supporting overseas troops is one way several Valley residents will spend part of their holiday...

The American Military Support is hosting a Christmas concert and all the proceeds will be used to provide supplies for soldiers overseas.

The concert will be held on Saturday, December 7 at the Marine Military Academy in Yeckel Hall.

The pre-sale tickets are $10 and $12 at the door.

"We're gonna have a variety show," said concert performer Vance Greek. "We're gonna be singing a lot of old classics, from country and pop, a little bit of Christmas music, we might even have Santa Claus show up, you never know for sure. But we want you to invite your friends, come on it's for a great cause and all the proceeds go to the American Military Support."

"Our concerts have been small so they progressively are growing, so we're hoping that every year, we're hoping to make this a yearly event, and we're hoping that every year it gets a little bigger, and of course all the proceeds will help us to continue our work," said American Military Support CEO Emma Alvarado.

The ticket holders include the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce, RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, San Benito Barber and Style Shop and Green Beret Army Surplus.
