Airport Runway Safety Project

The McAllen Miller International Airport is in the process of standardizing their runway so it complies with regulations set by Congress.
The airport has until December of 2015 to expand the runway safety area.

The cost for the runway safety project will be around $10 million which will be funded through a combination of grants.

Contruction could start as early as January.
