AEP Worked Throughout Storms to Get Power Up for Customers
Power outages continued throughout the Valley as a result of Wednesday's thunderstorms keeping electrical companies working to get power back to residents.
According to AEP Texas Manager Frank Espinoza, the magnitude of Wednesday's storm affected AEP's transmission line capability and in turn caused outages to large pockets of customers. More than 10,000 AEP Texas customers lost power at some point Wednesday, but as of Thursday afternoon that number had dwindled down to 5,000. AEP crews have been working to resolve the issue.
