Over 7,000 customers of AEP Texas have been affected by a power outage this Wednesday morning. AEP officials say the reasoning behind the outage is due to dry conditions affecting the power lines.

AEP Texas says the residents, currently affected, could be out of power for the next two hours. Residents without any electricity may report it  by calling 1-866-223-8508 or by visiting: https://aeptexas.com/outages

We were just told our power may go out from 9am to 4pm on Wednesday July 23rd, 2014. (our neighborhood is just NW of Canton and Clausner in Edinburg). The notice doesn't say anything other than it's for construction.

I am sure there are some people who will not be able to escape the heat in some way- The transformers he pointed at for needing attention are on Tallow Court- (he, being the person wearing a hard hat walking through the neighborhood putting out door hangers notifying the area)
