One group of guys is ready for the worst over the Thanksgiving holiday, but even they still find time to enjoy some turkey.
The Harlingen Fire Department has men and women on call at the station just in case a fire breaks out on Thanksgiving.
But these firefighters will at least be able to go out and work on a full stomach.
The station provides food for all, but many of the men bring their own dish to share as well.
They said having dinner together is the next best thing to family.
"We know we have to come to work and we are going to be here 24 hours, so this is our family away from home. And it's still Thanksgiving and we still love turkey," Jose Ruedas, Lieutenant.
Everyone got a slice of turkey, potatoes, green beans, a roll and much, much more for their Thanksgiving Feast.
