A Nevada man tries to call 911 to report traffic accident and can't get through.Christine Kim reports.

(KSNV) A Nevada man says he dialed 911 three times and got no answer.

Instead of hearing a voice he got an error message.

It was all part of a 2 hour outage at metro's 911 dispatch center which was unable to process a portion of emergency calls.

Centurylink, which is the 911 center's telecom provider, is still investigating but says that a technical error is to blame.
It happened during an update.

And with metro's dispatch center taking an average of 9,000 911 and 411 calls a day it may have affected more than one caller.
