8-Year Old Boy Shot and Injured In Drive-By

An over-night Drive-by shooting is under investigation this afternoon.
Police continue to search for the person who fired shots that hit
an 8-year old boy in the back.
Late last night, 8-year old, Roy Palacios, from Pharr was shot,while sitting on his couch, as he was watching TV, with his older brother.
Now, he's in critical, but stable condition at McAllen Medical Center.
It happened inside the boy's home on the 700 block of Juarez Street.
The boy's aunt, tells News Center 23 the bullet sped through the house, thru the couch, and thru the boy's spine.
She says, little Roy started yelling, "it hurts, it hurts."
Six or seven shots were fired, and the family says, a bullet hit a picture, and that's what woke the boy's grandma up, who was sleeping in a nearby bedroom.
No one else was injured.
Since the drive-by, police have been looking for who did this.
Police say, this case is very unfortunate.
At this time, they still don't know who shot through the boy's home nor do they have a vehicle description.
