4-year old girl found dead.

Heat exhaustion

A 4-year old Brownsville girl is dead after her mother leaves her asleep in a parked vehicle at a Brownsville flea market.
31-year old Olga Salazar and her 17-year old daughter thought that the child was with the other, when Salazar realized she was missing they started looking for the toddler, and found her inside the family vehicle.
Some citizens tried performing CPR on the child trying to revive her, medics arrived shortly and eventually took her to Valley Regional Medical Center, where she died.
Salazar has been arraigned on one count of abandoning or endangering a child, her bond was set at twenty thousand dollars, and has been transferred to the Carrizales-Rucker Detention Center, since Salazar is undocumented she has a hold by Immigration and the Mexican Consulate has been notified of her situation, her other children were placed with her maternal grandmother by Child Protective Services.
