4 Houston firefighters die while responding to 5-alarm fire, official says

Four Houston Firefighters are dead after a Hotel Wall Collapsed while they were battling a major blaze early friday.

Six other firefighters are being treated at local hospitals- one of them in critical condition with burn wounds.

The five-alarm fire was at the southwest Inn - near interstate 69.

More than 150 firefighters responded.

No other word on whether or not any civilians were hurt or killed - though a spokesperson for the Houston mayor's  office says there are others affected.

Mayor Annise Parker is calling today the worst day in the History of Houston Fire Department.
