Border Patrol agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint seized nearly 3 tons of marijuana in the last two weeks.

The combined total value of the seizures is estimated at more than $4.5 million dollars. The largest happened when a Border Patrol K-9 team checked a tractor trailer  that was passing at the checkpoint when the K-9 alerted his trainer of drugs on the trailer. The agents found more than 3,000 pounds of pot hidden in the trailer making the value close to $3 million dollars.
