3 Kidnapping Suspects Caught

Brownsville police say a 32 year old woman, her 2 year old daughter, and a 23 year old male all undocumented immigrants got lost in Brownsville.

"A few weeks back she had been smuggled across and she lost contact with the smuggler and was wondering in downtown Brownsville with her daughter, a female approached her and asked if she needed a place to stay, she confided in the person, and the woman took her to the hotel and kept her there captive. She told her it was going to cost $5,000 dollars to move her back up north and if she didn't have the money, she would have to work it off."

Police say the three victims were taken the Rose Garden Inn held against their will by 20 year Luciano Romero, 20 year old Patricia Ramon, and San Juana Garcia Rodriguez from Mexico.
While in the hotel, the woman victim was able to call a family member and to them give the location where they were being kept.

"When officers arrived they make contact with three individuals upon interviewing them they hear someone crying and ask for consent they go in and find a male, female, and the child that were downtown."

All three suspects are charged with kidnapping, unlawful restraint and human smuggling. The victims were not harmed.
