$2.5M seized in heroin and cocaine at Anzalduas port of entry

Custom & Border Protection officers seized over $2.5 million of narcotics in a failed smuggling attempt at the Anzalduas port of entry.

On Tuesday, August 27th CBP officers came into contact with a man driving a gray 2011 Renault Fluence from Mexico.

The CBP officer referred the driver and the vehicle to a secondary inspection where an imaging system detected several packages concealed within the car.

Officer removed 27 packages, 21 of alleged heroin weighing over 20 lbs and 6 packages of alleged cocaine weighing over 15 lbs.

The estimated street value of the heroin was $2,015,000 and for the cocaine at $495,000 for a total value of $2,510,000.
