177th anniversary ceremony held at the Alamo

SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — On Wednesday, more than 1,000 people and local Texans withstood some cold temperatures to attend a ceremony remembering the Alamo on it's 177th anniversary.
The ceremony included readings of eye witness accounts during the battle of the Alamo, music and prayer. Alamo officials say this year's anniversary has greater importance because on display was the "Victory of Death" letter written by Lieutenant Colonel William Barret Travis. One hundred and eighty nine people died defending the Alamo with many representating twenty two different states and six countries.
