165 kidnapped victims, in Mexico, released
TAMAULIPAS, MEXICO (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Mexican authorities rescued 165 kidnapped victims who were held for several weeks in Tamaulipas, Mexico.
The group of would be immigrants, which included women and children, hoped to cross into the United States before they were captured, in small batches, and held at a house.
The hostages were held for two to three weeks and police said relatives of the hostages received ransom calls.
Authorities said the gunman was arrested and will be held in custody while the investigation continues.
