$1.1 million dollars worth of cocaine seized at port of entries.

Two Mexican citizens are were busted for trying to smuggle in cocaine at the Brownsville ports of entry, in two separate cases.

The first bust happened when CBP officers discovered a man-made compartment within the rear floor of a Ford Explorer. There they found seven packages stuffed with 18 pounds of cocaine. The second bust took place at the Gateway bridge where officers found 16 pounds of cocaine in another man-made compartment hidden under the center console of a Honda Accord.

The narcotics seized in both cases has an estimated street value of nearly $1.1 million dollars.
