It’s the third installment and this year’s theme is “Glow in the Dark.” The City of Brownsville is preparing for today’s Cyclobia event.

“Cyclobia is a celebration of an opportunity to get out of your car and walk, ride, skip, jump and hang out in a family setting in our downtown area,” Brownsville City Commissioner Rose Gowen said.

Several streets in Brownsville are closed from 7 to 10 p.m. so families can get out and move. This Cyclobia will also put an emphasis on biking, since biking for transportation and recreation is such a big part of our community.

Along with the play in the streets there will be reclovias or stations set-up offering activities for families.
