Tar Balls Wash Up on Galveston Island

Tar balls from the site of the Gulf oil spill have apparently washed up on beaches in Texas and were collected by Coast Guard.

Over the weekend, crews found the tar balls on Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula and were sent for testing to see if they are a positive match to the oil spill. Local Coast Guard officials say they've cleaned up all the tar balls that have washed up and increased beach patrols.
