Serial Stabber On The Move
Investigators believe serial killer may have moved from Michigan to Virginia.
Authorities in Michigan and northern Virginia are looking for a suspect they believe could be behind a series of violent attacks in both states.
Police in Michigan have released a sketch of a white man they believe is responsible for the stabbings of 15 black men in the Flint area.
Five of the stabbings were fatal.
Authorities in northern Virginia believe the suspect may also be responsible for three violent incidents in Leesburg.
Two of those incidents were stabbings.
Police in both states say the suspect is in his late 20s, weighs between 180 and 200 pounds and drives a two-tone green and beige SUV.
The suspect appears to target people who are on foot and alone.
"I don't think he's been lucky, I think these are crimes of opportunity, he's praying on individuals were are alone on the street," says Genessee County David Leyton.
16 of the 18 victims were black.
Authorities are asking the public for help in tracking down the suspect and have established a telephone tip line.
That number is 866-246-9500.
