President Obama and Arizona Governor Brewer met at White House.
The Governor of Arizona says she is working with the President on border security and immigration issues when the two met at the White House on Thursday. Governor Jan Brewer says the meeting has started the wheels turning for future meetings and actual progress. Governor Brewer signed a law giving police officers the power to ask people about their citizenship in the state. The law requires state and local police to determine the status of people if there is "reasonable suspicion" that they are illegal immigrants and to arrest people who are unable to provide documentation proving they are in the country legally.
