Mexican police arrest suspect in death of U.S. Consulate employee.

Mexican officials have made an arrest in the murder of three people with ties to the U.S. Consulate in Juarez, Mexico. Investigators say the suspect is one of the top leaders of a notorious gang that works with the Juarez drug cartel, Kai Porter has more from our sister station in El Paso.

According to published reports, Mexican police say 45 year-old Ricardo Valles De La Rosa, leader of the Barrio Azetca gang, is responsible for killing a U.S. Consulate worker Lesley Enriquez and her husband Arthur Redelfs. A Mexican police spokesman says the arrest was made on Friday. "This arrest was made as part of the exchange of information between the police agencies of both sides of the border. The arrest was made thanks to the Mexican Army and thanks to this collaboration".

The couple, who lived in El Paso, was gunned down on March 13th after leaving a birthday party in Juarez, Mexico. Their 7 month-old daughter was in the back seat when the attack occurred and did not sustain any injuries. Details of the arrest is limited, but Mexican police have promised to release more information soon.
