Border Patrol officials and the F.B.I. are investigating an incident in which a border agent shot and killed a 14 year-old Mexican teenager.

The shooting happened on Monday evening at a border crossing between Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. Several agents  responded to a group of suspected illegal immigrants trying to cross into the U.S. and some teens began throwing rocks at the agents. The agent fired his weapon hitting a 14 year-old boy who died of his injuries. Mexican officials condemned the teen's death and said the use of firearms was disproportionate to the use of rocks.
