UTPA segment looks at Flight of Discovery program.

The University of Pan American is bringing an exciting and unique opportunity to current and future math and science middle school teachers in the Valley. Those lucky enough to be selected will be able to experience what it's like to be an astronaut in space and more importantly take what they learned, back to the classroom, Sandra Quintanilla has the story.

That would be a fun experience of learning new things for the kids and young students. I hope they already knew about the recent human specie discovery. I guess they call it the Cradle of Humanity for a reason – among more unpleasant news from South Africa, a new hominid species was found, dubbed Australopithecus sediba.
