Texas Workforce Commission host luncheon in Rancho Viejo.

In an effort to boost the local economy, several local and state entities met during a luncheon at Rancho Viejo. Chamber of Commerce's from different cities in Cameron county, along with local officials and the Chairman of the Texas Workforce Commission met to discuss the current outlook on economic growth in the county. Although Texas has the lowest unemployment rate of any large labor market in the country, the Rio Grande Valley isn't doing so well with the unemployment rate near 11% compared to the state of Texas unemployment rate of 8.3%.
