Most of us have heard frightening stories about bats, now the Valley community has na opportunity to learn the real facts about these scary looking critters in an exciting new exhibit at UTPA, Sandra Quintanilla  has this week's report.

When most of us think of bats, we picture blind, bloodsucking, creepy looking creatures attacking humans who get in their way or carrying diseases like rabies, but these images are far from reality. In fact, bats are actually quite harmless and are essential to our environment. If you want to learn more about the importance of these mammals, you are encouraged to visit "Masters of the Night: The True Story of Bats". This exciting 2,500 foot touring museum exhibit produced by Evergreen Exhibition is on display at the UTPA Visitors Center.

The exhibit, which will be on display through May 9th is free and open to the public and for more information visit: http://www.utpa.edu
