Suspects in Hidalgo murder arrested.

Investigators in Hidalgo county arrested two suspects wanted for murder at a family Baptism celebration on Sunday, Michelle  Macias has the details.

It was a quick catch for the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Department as investigators and U.S. Marshal's arrested 27 year-old Jose Martinez and 28 year-old Jesus Torres on Tuesday. Both men are accused of killing 34 year-old Leroy Berrones as he came to the aid of his daughter after the two men made advances on her. Police arrested Romero at a Burger King restaurant on Tower road in Alamo on Monday afternoon  and Torres was arrested at a mechanic shop along Mile 12 1/2 North.


Both men are charged with first degree murder for stabbing Berrones with a screwdriver 11 times and then fleeing the scene. Torres is accused of holding Berrones as Martinez stabbed him and their bonds were set at $200,000 dollars for Martinez and $100,000 dollars for Torres.
