Suspect arrested in downtown stabbing.

Brownsville police say a man remains in critical condition after being stabbed at least 7 times and left for dead. It happened on Friday evening at an apartment complex on West Levee street in downtown Brownsville. Officers arrested 49 year-old Albert Stafford, who stabbed 58 year-old Ricardo Martinez, in the torso several times. Stafford fled the scene but witness were able to give a description of him and police were able to spot Stafford minutes later. Police say that Stafford has a long criminal history and may even be linked to other homicides. Stafford remains in jail on a $100,000 dollar bond.

this person that was stabbed was my uncle. I prey for the person who did this. my family is fighting among them-selfs.Especially the sisters,they dont believe in letting uncle richard go,they want to keep him on life sopport even though he's brain dead and only one of his lungs works not to mention his lever quit working.my mom does not want to see her little brother suffer like this.I see both of there sides and maybe my mom is wrong for wanting to take him off lifesopport.its just her opponion

Ricardo has been my step dad since I was 9 and I love him so much. Your mom (Delia) is not wrong it's just that everyone has different opinions even though we all want the best for Richard. But as you should know already cause I informed your mom yesterday Richard is gone and hopefully resting in peace with GOD. I pray for him, for me and for his family especially Delia to be strong and find peace. Take care of yourself and your mother which I appreciate dearly.
