A Brownsville man, wanted in a triple shooting, was arraigned by a judge and given a $450,000 dollar bond for shooting the men and injuring two of them. Mario Cortez is suspected of being the shooter in an incident on Washington street after three returned to their disabled vehicle in front of a home. When they had returned to the disabled vehicle the victims witnessed Cortez trying to break into the vehicle. Cortez  then pulled out a gun and shot at the men hitting two of them and then ran off. The U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force located the whereabouts of Cortez and arrested him in a home in the Southmost area.
